Our nearest proper village is Constantine. It has two great village shops. In addition to a post office counter and the usual provisions that you’d expect, Constantine Stores at the bottom of Fore Street has an simply extraordinary selection of wines and spirits. See their website: drinkfinder.co.uk. The Spar at the top of Fore Street has newspapers, magazines and videos as well as a good selection of provisions including fresh artisan bread. There’s a lively Farmer’s Market in the Church Hall on the second Saturday of each month.
The Tolmen Centre is a thriving community theatre and arts centre. You can check their current programme of events here. The centre is manned by volunteers and they do take a break for the school holidays. The centre is also home to the Constantine Museum.
