Navas Hill House was built in the 30’s and is set in a sheltered position overlooking Bosanath Valley in a beautiful 9 acre garden. The cottage - which we assume was built for the housekeeper and gardener/handyman couple (in those days people were able to afford such luxuries!) – is entirely separate and totally self-contained but close to the house.

The cottage, which sleeps 4, has:
    Upstairs
  • 2 double bedrooms (one double bed, one with twin beds which can be made up as a double if preferred) each with wardrobe and chest of drawers
  • shower room with good strong shower and sink
  • separate loo and sink
    Downstairs
  • sitting room with wood stove (unlimited wood available)
  • kitchen with arch to
  • dining room

The cottage is heated throughout by modern, controllable night storage heaters and the wood stove. There is a TV, video/DVD Player, cooker, microwave, fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher.

    General
  • No smoking inside the cottage please
  • Pets welcome but please scoop!
  • Unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users
  • Easy parking

Outside is a large sloped lawn with 2 flat sitting areas including barbecue and garden furniture. You are also welcome to explore the rest of the grounds and take cuttings (thoughtfully!) if you wish.

The grounds are beautiful with 2 paddocks, a planted enclosure, walled rose garden, kitchen garden and wilder wooded areas. A short walk down the drive takes you to Trenarth Creek, the Helford River and the delightful – if tiny – hamlet of Port Navas with Quay & Yacht Club (with restaurant) with moorings. The coastal path at Helford Passage and the ferry to Helford village are about 15 minutes walk.

Several pubs and lovely sandy beaches are less then 10 minutes drive. Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens are about a mile away. Even closer is Budock Vean Country House Hotel & Golf & Country Club (with swimming pool). The cottage is situated equi-distant from the villages of Mawnan Smith and Constantine (about 2 miles either way). Within easy day trips are Eden, Lost Gardens of Heligan, several other beautiful gardens, amazing nurseries and garden centres. Falmouth is 7 miles and Truro 13 miles – both have many restaurants and shopping facilities.
